State Public Health Laboratory

Effective May 6, 2009, operations of the Missouri TB Laboratory, Mount Vernon, Missouri have moved to the State Public Health Laboratory (SPHL), Jefferson City, Missouri.

For the next several months, the Tuberculosis Unit of the Missouri SPHL will be equipping, staffing, validating laboratory procedures and successfully completing proficiencies in preparation for providing Mycobacteriology services to Missouri.  During this period, the Oklahoma State Public Health Laboratory will be providing Mycobacteriology coverage for the Missouri SPHL.  All Mycobacteriology requests should be submitted to the Missouri SPHL and Oklahoma laboratory reports will be sent to submitters by the Missouri SPHL.
