Choosing child care is an important decision. Each child is unique and it takes time, patience and an understanding of what to look for when choosing child care. You know the needs of your child and family. However, you may need assistance in matching those needs to available resources. The Section for Child Care Regulation is pleased to share resources that are available to assist you with this important decision.

Missouri Child Care Resource and Referral Network (MOCCRRN)

The Section for Child Care Regulation contracts with the Missouri Child Care Resource and Referral Network to provide free child care referral services for parents. If you would like help choosing child care, call 1-800-200-9017 to find your local Resource and Referral agency or visit their website.

The Resource and Referral network can:

  • Assist families in locating child care through customized referral searches to specific child care programs based on cost, location, or a special schedule.
  • Promote consumer education and parental choice in child care.
  • Provide inclusion services for families and child care providers with children with special needs.
  • Maintain a database of regulated child care providers and legally operated facilities that meet Child Care Resource & Referral listing standards.
  • Link families, child care providers, and community members to other available resources such as subsidy, T.E.A.C.H. MISSOURI© Scholarship.
