Emergency Response and Terrorism
Effective emergency response is dependent on knowledgeable medical professionals as well as a highly informed and
involved public. The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services created the Emergency Response Speaker’s
Bureau to provide information about public health threats, outbreaks of infectious diseases, and potential bioterrorism
emergencies to medical professionals and to Missouri residents.
The Speaker’s Bureau has experts available to speak to schools, medical conferences, civic organizations, and
professional groups on a variety of emergency response and public health topics. The aim of the Speaker’s Bureau is
to provide essential information to medical professionals and citizens so that they are better equipped to respond during
times of crisis.
